FAQs

Colour

Yes we can.

We guarantee a 100% colour match to your existing or chosen leather colour. Our colour technicians are trained to match colour by eye, which is a rare and specialist skill in our industry, far superior and much more accurate than a colour matching machine, which many of our competitors in the industry use.

It’s possible to change the colour of leather though it is dependant on the type of leather. If it is possible, it would only be successful to dye to a darker colour, we cannot go lighter. A brief discussion over the phone or by emailing us a photo of the leather, we should be able to determine whether it is possible or not.

Furniture

We generally keep your furniture for 2 weeks to allow for it to go through the various processes of restoration, allowing timescales for any specific leather or upholstery materials to be ordered. We offer courtesy furniture while we have yours in our possession, so you have some temporary seating.

We can only offer to carry out minor repairs onsite.

Most of our restoration processes require specialist equipment and products which can only be used in a controlled environment under workshop conditions. We arrange the logistics and provide courtesy furniture as all part of the service.

Operations

We operate throughout the South East from our HQ in Surrey, however we have a network of specialists throughout the UK and Ireland which we work closely with and therefore offering our customers a nationwide service.

We can give you an estimated cost via email if you provide photos of the problem. However, anything older than 5 years may need a physical inspection to determine this condition of the leather and if it is salvageable or would benefit from having replacement leather on badly won areas. We offer free of charge quotations and will provide an appointment to visit and assess your leather at a mutually convenient time.

We cannot always guarantee a completely invisible result, however we do get a 100% colour match so the repaired area blends in perfectly to the surrounding area. When repairing tears, cuts and rips, the area will result in a 90-95% invisible repair. The area may just look quite flat, which shows up more with heavier grained/printed leather as we cannot re-create the grain/print of the leather. At worst the area will look like a natural scar/characteristic within the leather. Repairs to scuffs and scratches can usually be repaired to a 100% invisible result.

Generally speaking, the answer is yes. As we have an upholstery side to our business, we offer solutions for the interiors also i.e. foam, feather and fibre fill cushions as well as springs, webbing and structural frames and mechanisms. Although we specialise in leather, we can offer soft fabric solutions too and if it’s not something we would take on, we can highly likely recommend a company who can help you.

No. Our restoration process can be applied to any leather, whether it is a small item such as a purse, handbag or jacket through to larger items such as car interiors or yacht seating, we can offer the same service.
